8 months, 4 weeks agoHubby & I love the burnt ends & sausage. Can’t go wrong with those, but the filet mignon is my favorite. Absolutely one of the best steaks in the metro!

8 months, 3 weeks agoGrilled salmon salad and filet mignon are not BBQ people, therefore you can’t use those to judge a BBQ joint. Jack stack is far too inconsistent in quality because they are more concerned about quanity served. Yes, the cheesy corn is good, but should a true bbq place be judged by the sides; I don’t think so. There are at least a dozen other places in the metro that have far better quality (and, on a consistent basis) smoked meats than Jack Stack. Try Woodyard, BB Lawnside, Quick’s 7th street, or LC’s before you blindly pronounce Jack Stack king of KC BBQ.

8 months, 3 weeks agoJack Stack used to be my favorite for ribs, but the last two times we went, my ribs were nearly too tough to eat. I don’t want to fight my food. And the prices keep going up and the portions going down.

8 months, 2 weeks agoHands down the best BBQ in KCMO. Ive been eating here for awhile and Smokestack since I was a kiddo. Some other restaurant who shall go un-named did in fact steal Smokestacks recipes several years ago. :/ we have figured out when we ate at the other place there this past year in another city…… Hopefully karma will prevail and Jack Stack or Smokestack can reign rightfully so! Thanks for some mouth watering BBQ! :-)

7 months, 4 weeks agoThe ORIGINAL BBq and best to go to if you want real mouth watering and savory foods. Robert, yes, we know EXACTLY what you are talking about. ANyone that’s been around KC for as long as me and my family have been, knows that there is another bbq restaurant out of kc that DID in fact steal Smoke Stack and Jack Stacks sauce recipe and tastes JUSt LIKE Jack Stack. Some people have no shame.
That’s neither here nor there, but for those who want to have an AMAZING BBQ experience go to Fioerrellas, especially the one on Holmes Road! :)

3 months agoOverrated. Too inconsistent. Too expensive. The original Smokestack was much better.

1 month, 3 weeks agoA franchise restaurant as the best? They use only the best mediocre ingredients their budget will allow. A local mom and pop restaurant is far superior to any franchise.
